Backup...
Can anyone tell me how to back up my quick books file from my hard drive to a CD-R? When I try to copy the file to the drive(D)...the drive isn't listed for me to copy to...help!!! What is wrong???

1) Save to a folder on your hard drive, then use the built-in XP cd burning utility (right click the file > send to > your burner) or your burning software to copy it to a disc
2) copy/paste this path in quickbooks backup location C:\Documents and Settings\your_username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD Burning

You have to save the files to a folder of your choice on the hard drive, does not support writing direcly to CD`s. You can use whatever burning program you wish, no need to copy/paste to a particular path, although it should work as posted above.

Again your ego is unbelieveable, I stated the person can use whatever burning program they wish but YOUR post should work.
No one is bashing you although it seems it may be needed. Come down off that high horsie fella!
