Bad wlanapi.dll, how to fix
First I'm computer literate, although not that familiar with Vista. I'm trying to help a neighbor with a laptop. Two files were apparently corrupted, wsock32.dll, and wlanapi.dll. Using system repair console, I was able to restore wsock32.dll from the D: drive on a lap top. However I can't find a wlanapi.dll in d:\windows\system32, and the wlanapi.dll files buried in windows\winsxs don't work either.
At windows start, some program called "quickset" complains that it wlanapi.dll is bad or not compatable.
Where can I find a valid wlanapi.dll? It's a Inspiron 1420 lap top, with VIsta Home Premium.

I found a wlanapi.dll from some website (the microsoft hotfix didn't work).
Next is WZCSAPI.DLL - it's missing also. I'm not sure how these file got installed as I don't see them anywhere on the restore disk. Could this be related to itunes?

It is a Wireless Zero Configuration service API. The wzcsapi.dll is a file created by Microsoft Corporation and is a part of Microsoft Windows Operating System. Try searching their support site for it.
