Base System Device??? (In Device Manager)

Question

I did a fresh install of Windows XP on a Latitude D800 and when I go and check in ' Device Manager', I get a ' Base System Device' in the Other Devices section in which the driver has not been installed yet.  I checked the properties of the 'Base System Device' and the only clue i could find was ' Location:  PCI bus 2, device 1, function 3'  I'm not sure which driver to install cause I thought i've installed all of them...  If anyone can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you... :smileyhappy:     LatitudeD800

I found the answer...  It was the 'Texas Instruments PCI 7510 & 4510 Cardbus Controller with SmartCard' driver in the Chipset section.  Thanks again aps@sun.  Greatly appreciated!!!     LatitudeD800

Did you reinstall the chipset drivers.?  You can find this by going to Product Support>Downloads at the top of the forum page and then typing in your system tag number and Operating System,  and just follow the rest of the page directions.
