Base System Device?

Hi,

I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 notebook which I have just installed with a fresh copy of XP.

Under Device Manager I have a yellow exclamation mark by "Base System Device". I have tried downloading all relevant drivers from the Dell site but I can't seem to fix the problem.

Does anyone know which driver fixes this?

Many thanks in advance.

Get the ChipSet driver and see if it helps.
