Beginning Dump of Physical Memory...

BSOD II

I get the Blue Screen of Death that says:
IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Beginning Physical Memory Dump
and this file is on the screen too: uhcd.sys

Here are the actions that have been taken and don't work:
1) Diagnostic of HD... pass
2) Win 2000 repair function
3) Win 2000 reinstall
4) Win 2000 reformat and reinstall
5) Debug using Deminsion 4100 resourse disk, removed all previous partitioning, reformat and reinstall of Win 2000

I am experiencing a spontaneous restart after the computer is fully booted, then it reboots completely, and goes to the blue screen mentioned above. None of the above have fixed this problem. To my understanding it could be an IRQ conflict, driver problem, or maybe a BIOS problem.

Any suggestions? I am sick of going through hours of work and time on Dell Support, to only get nothing fixed.

Thanks,
Matt

cwminnow,

Here is a brief Microsoft Knowledge Base article on Stop 0x44.

Have you powered the machine down since the system crashed? Does it start back up afterward? Have you made any recent hardware/driver changes that might have caused this problem?

If you cannot get the machine to boot, you need to contact Dell support for assistance.

Please note that the message you replied to is an entirely different problem than yours.

Matt,

I don't know whether the 4100 motherboard uses the VIA USB chipset, but if it does, here's a Microsoft Knowledge Base article that may be relevant.
