1) Are you able to toggle the caps lock key? 2) Has the system experienced physical damage? 3) Shut down the system and disconnect any external peripherals and press the Power button for 15 seconds to drain any residual power from the motherboard.Press the power button to test whether the system will power on. 4) Let me know the LED patterns when you start the system?
Hi - I had this problem upgrading an E1505 to windows 8.1. Booting from cold very rarely got to a visible login screen, it was there, as you could see it flash past when pressing the power down button. The problem turned out to be the ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 driver, and setting the driver back to the basic MS one seems to have sorted it. Four successful cold boots in a row, so fingers crossed. If anyone finds a driver to give higher resolution please let me know!
