black screen with mouse only
i turn on my laptop and get a black sreen with mouse on , can any one help me
the warrenty ran out

Operating System?
More details, did you install any software prior to the black screen, or updates?

the only things that were since installed were just the windows updates

Nothing was installed and no updates. It is a wireless laptop a little over 1 year old. Out of warranty. Used the night before and left to turn itself off. Started the next day and the only thing showing was black screen with a moving cursor. I took out battery and re inserted it. Still nothing. Thank you for the replies.
