I don't know how to do this, so I started looking for info and found this:
"We recommend that you use the Recovery Console only after Safe mode and other startup options do not work. The Recovery Console is recommended only if you are an advanced user who can use basic commands to identify and locate problem drivers and files."http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307654
I only WISH I was an advance user, but since I'm not, I am wondering if I am up to the task--and also whether or not this is a good step to take at this point since the computer starts without any problem (I am able to boot without safe mode) and the BSOD happens infrequently. Is there a way to trouble shoot using the Stop error? Or if anyone knows what is triggering the blue screen?
If you are able to boot to Windows (I missed the fact that you were able to), then CHKDSK /R can be initiated from within Windows: Open a Command Prompt (Start, Programs, Accessories), type in CHKDSK /R and Enter, then hit 'Y' to schedule, then reboot.
Then from a Command Prompt again, type in SFC /SCANNOW ... you will need your XP CD in the drive for this step.
You may also want to consider updating any out of date drivers, removing any internal cards or external devices, and/or uninstalling any software/hardware you recently added that may correlate with the bluescreens.

Try booting to your XP CD and repairing using Recovery Console, then run CHKDSK /R.
