Bluetooth Issues

Hi,

I've got a Dimension C521 that was working fine, however since upgrading to Vista two small issues have cropped up that are slightly annoying.

Firstly, I cannot connect to my phone via bluetooth any more because Vista informs me "Bluetooth Device Not Found" which is really odd because my Keyboard and Mouse are both wireless Bluetooth gizmos and they work perfectly well (with one small exception, see below).  I thought that this might be a driver issue, but I went to WIDCOMM's website and downloaded the updated driver which refused to even try and install because as soon as I ran the .exe it told me "Bluetooth Device Not Found".  Has anyone else had this problem and, more to the point, does anyone have a solution???

Secondly my keyboard comes with a voluem controll knob on it.  Since installing Vista it does nothing!  Actually, that's not true - the green bars appear on the screen indicating that the volume is being turned up / down but there's no effect on the actual volume of my soundcard.  Any ideas, anyone?  It's worth noting that during the Vista upgrade I stalled the update to the keyboard a mounse drivers that came on a separate CD from Dell, but to no avail.

Tom.

I upgraded from XP to Vista Home Premium last wekend and have had multiple problems, mostly sorted now. Just last night I, for the first time, tried to connect my bluetooth phone and got the same error message - bluetooth device not found. Haven't had time to look for a solution yet.

This might solve your problems.
I had the same problem with the volume control not working a couple of months ago when I upgraded to Vista. I fixed mine by installing the latest Logitech Setpoint driver - as the Dell fix wasn't ready then ( http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/software/GB/EN,CRID=1796,contentid=7693).
