Bluetooth, Nokia PC Suite. Solution found!

Hi,

for all, which want to make their Bluetooth functionality make stable und have thierfore problems with Nokia PC Suite should look at http://discussions.nokia.ie/discussions/board/message?board.id=connectivity&message.id=15743 and the entry from "btsl"near the end.He or she describes how to change the Toshiba BT-Stack into the Microsoft BT-Stack.

Under http://www.vinsvision.com/Articles/tabid/66/EntryID/13/Default.aspx will be described how it works.

And it really works!!!!

Where before it lasts 2 Minutes before a connection took place it is now at once availlable for instance waking up from standby.

Best regards,

Well good to know it is solved, but before I reach this post I made my own workaround :)

My computer is Inspiron 1525 with BCM 2045 running WinXpProSP3

1. Download the drivers for BCM 2045 from here http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R169011&SystemID=XPS_ONE_A2010&servicetag=&os=WLH&osl=en&deviceid=15513&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=1&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=5&fileid=229871

2. Unpack the file and don't install for now.

3. From Device Manager choose to update the driver for "Dell Wireless 355 Bluet..." and choose location C:\dell\drivers\R169011\Win32 , wait the installation of the new hardware to finish.

4. Uninstall the Widcomm bluetooth stack.

5. Reboot, Let Windows XP will manage the new hardware foun during reboot.

Now you shoud have v.6 driver installed and PC Suite running just fine.

Do not install again the Widcomm stack.
