BURNING CDS

Question

I cannot burn cds from my iTunes library. I can do it no problem using Windows Media Player and playing audio cds is also no problem. I'm using CD-R. Has anyone got and solutions to this problem please?

this is likely not a vista issue. there is a chance that you might have to replace your burner (but that is last resort). it might be helpful for everyone else to know your system configuration and the model number of your burner.

Your cd recorder is fine as long as you can burn disks from Media Player. You need to follow one of these solutions onthe Itunes support page: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/burn/

Hi Discostu668, Thanks for replying to my post. I wouldn't say it's the burner because burning a cd using Windows Media Player works perfectly. I've tried the troubleshooting for burning cds in iTunes. Not sure what else to do?

Hi Mary G, Thanks for your reply, unfortunately though I've tried all that and still no joy. It just keeps coming up ATTEMPT TO BURN A DISK FAILED. UNKNOWN ERROR OCCURRED (2131). Any other suggestions?

This is a KNOWN problem with the TSST ST-632H drive. There is a firmware update for the drive that fixes the issue. This update was released on November 28.
