Thanks for the prompt reply. As I had stated in my orginal message I tried to remove the google toolbar but that did not work.

Joe,
I tried the demon and removed the programs it recommended. Still did not work.
I then removed all the bho's except adobe which was the only verified bho listsed under IE's manage BHO's. Problem is solved !! Thanks for the help

That error has been corrected by some users by uninstalling the Google toolbar. Reisntalling it does not cause the error to reappear.
