can't delete program

Question

I have XP home and my problem is a game that I can't un-install. I go to add and remove and try to un-install it that way and I get a message 'error loading c:\program~1\common~1\instal~1\engine\6\intel3~1\ctor.dll' all this in a box , and on top of it it says 'rundll' also try to go into the program and use it's un-install but still the same message, also try reinstall over the same program but it won't let me, also try to remove the folder and the reg, entries but it won't reinstall due to I must have miss some entries. Now have another computer XP home and it works good and copy the folder ( the one with the error message) and replace the new one but it said something about it being used but it's not

Usually the easiest way to fix this is to reinstall the program, then uninstall it again. Let me know if that works for you.

well I can't reinstall it cause it must detect it's their so it won't let me reinstall

Hi there,

I was going through some of your message and came to know that you are having issues uninstalling a particular game. We I would suggest that you try uninstalling the same in safe mode.

To start the computer in Safe Mode, which is the faster of the two Safe Mode methods, perform the following steps:

Restart the computer.
Press the key when the system accesses the hard drive after the BIOS has finished loading, but before the Windows® XP splash screen appears.

The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears.
NOTE: If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, restart the system and try again.

Select Safe Mode from the menu.
Log onto the computer as administrator.

A warning dialog box with the message that you are entering Safe Mode appears.
Click Yes to continue loading Safe Mode.

The Windows Safe Mode Desktop appears.

After you have booted to safe mode please go to add remove programs and the try uninstalling the game. Do keep me posted of the result.

Hi there,     there is a freeware that may help in uninstall/remove   http://www.snapfiles.com/get/removereboot.html     it is known as remove on reboot   Just give a try,   Rgds   sbaldev
