Can not connect to Windows 2000 Pro folder anymore

For the past several years I have been able to access a folder on an old Windows 2000 Pro computer. When I try to connect now from my mac running 10.15.7 no matter what user name and password I use it does not work. I even tried GUEST.

I have checked all settings, things look exactly like they have been.

I decided to try from another Windows 10 PC, getting same issue, will not accept username and or password. I am positive what they are.

Any ideas? It appears to be the fault of the Windows 2000 Pro computer, correct? Solution?

I can open it and add/remove files fine. The more I research this it looks like Windows 2000 used SMB v1 and Windows 10 uses SMBv3, like the Macs.

Can you still access that folder directly on the Win 2000 PC,without using the Mac or Win 10 PC?

It's possible the user account on that old PC got corrupted...

Not a very professional answer. Copying large files (up to 800GB) to a USB drive via USB1 is painful. Unfortunately I have to use Windows 2000 with a special piece of equipment, so no other option.

Well, then just copy the files off onto an external USB drive and be done with that antique Win 2000 PC.
