Can Roxio "Finalize" a DVD?
I have a BIG issue. I have a Sony DVD recorder, that I have used to copy 62 movies, and TV shows onto DVD for our home use.
I did not understand "finalization" when I started this, and am only now learning how bad I might have messed up. I recorded 62 shows or movies, using my Sony DVD recorder, onto re-recordable +RW DVDs -- I had a lot of problems learning how to use the recorder, so I did this to make sure the DVD recorded properly before commiting to a permanent DVD.
I then took these RW DVDs to my PC, and made a copy of the disc onto a permanent +R DVD using Roxio's "Disc Copy" function.
My problem is that now I am unable to finalize the new +R disc. My Sony machine will not allow me to finalize the disc, because the show was not recorded on that unit. Dell tells me that Roxio does not have any function to finalize these discs.
Does anyone have a way that I can finalize these DVDs and not lose these 62 shows? My machine is a DVD/VCR combo, and the VCR part broke. So, I am trying to decide whether to fix or replace. If I am unable to do anything with these 62 DVDs, that will simplify my choice.

I recently did a Google search on finalizing a DVD-R disc with Roxio and this thread was referenced. Since there was not an verified answer, the thread will be closed and archived for information purposes. As a reminder, if you wish to play these discs on stand-alone players, the disc needs to be finalized.
Sincerely,
