Cannot add new printer / Printer stopped working
My problem is that I am no longer able to print from my desktop computer. When I try to print a webpage, I get en error that says “Operation could not be completed.” If I try to print a word document, only a blank page will spit out. The funny thing is that I can still scan stuff to my computer. Also, if I try to add a new printer the error message “Operation could not be completed” appears.
The desktop computer is a XPS Dimension 200/5150C running windows XP SP3. The Printer is a Dell Photo 964. I do not think that the printer is the problem. I am still able to print fine from my laptop through the home network. (The printer is attached to the desktop via USB)
This problem occurred a few days after SP3 was installed. I have tried to do a system restore back to when I could print, but this did not solve anything. I would really appreciate any help.
