I had the exact same problem as you my friend, and after HOURS and HOURS of work and internet searching I eliminated my zero byte content.IE5 files that were on my computer that i could not delete with ordinary procedure.  Mine where named m[1] and there were several of them. It was weird.  Anyways what you want to do first of all is:
         1) Restart in safe mode
now that you are in safe mode what you need to do is go to:
        2)  start>My Computer>Local Disk C:>Documents And Settings> *YOUR SCREEN NAME*>
This will take you to a screen where you can see your "Local Settings" folder ok, now what you want to do is right-click on the "Local Settings" folder and go all the way down to properties.  In here you want to UN-CHECK the hidden option.  So now the "Local Settings" folder is not hidden.  This is important because if it is than DOS wont see it and it has to in order to do this.  Ok now what you need to do is RENAME THE LOCAL SETTINGS FOLDER to EVIL or whatever you want to name it, but  THE NAME YOU GIVE IT HAS TO BE 4 letters just to keep this real simple ok. The reason we are  renaming it is because Windows, upon startup, will create a new Local Settings folder with all new goodies inside including a new content.IE5 folder, and we cant just delete the local settings folder cause Windows becomes very angry if we try.  Ok now that the file is renamed to whatever or in this example EVIL we can now RESTART THE COMPUTER TO NORMAL MODE.  Now that you have restarted and are now in normal mode go back to:
               start>My Computer>Local Disk C:>Documents And Settings> *YOUR SCREEN NAME*>
Now you will see a new "Local Settings" folder  and your evil junky  renamed folder that I have named EVIL.  Now that this open the EVIL folder and right-click and copy the "TempIadHide3.dll" file.  It will be the only actual file in the folder. yours could have a different name, but it will still be a "dll" file. Now that you have copied that file go to the new "Local Settings" folder and right click and paste that baby in there UNLESS Windows made a new one, which I doubt.  Now in this new "Local Settings" folder you will have a bunch of folders and that "dll" file.  OK TIME TO DELETE EVIL or whatever your OLD local settings folder is named.  Now click on:
   start>all programs>accessories>command prompt
Now you should have a DOS prompt open on your screen FOLLOW CLOSE!!!!!!!!!
type:
cd\Documents and Settings\YOUR SCREEN NAME
              HIT ENTER
I hope by now you understand that when i say YOUR SCREEN NAME i mean your user name, not literally *your screen name*.  For example mine is jdaley. Yours will obviously be different. ok back to the critical part.
Now your DOS prompt should look like:
c:\Documents and Settings\YOUR SCREEN NAME>
Now after you hit enter like i said above you will type:
dir /x
notice the one space between the r and /
HIT ENTER
just a note its not dir/x its dir /x
Now you should have a screen that shows a list of files, dates, sizes and some dots and stuff.  Now what you want to do is type:
rd /s EVIL
i put the name EVIL, (the name I gave the old local settings) one space after the s
HIT ENTER
THIS IS IT!!!!!
Dos will ask you:  Are you sure ?
You will put Y
HIT ENTER
!!!!!!!!!!BAM!!!!!!!!
The whole dang EVIL folder is GONE!!!! stupid yahoo[1] and all YAY.
NOW SEND ME $$$$$$ please.
