Cannot Display This Video Mode Error

Question

I have an XPS 710 with Vista Home Basic and Nvidia 7900GS card. I have a Dell 1905FP monitor. Tonight everyone was logged out and Vista was on the select a user screen. So as usual after a few minutes it went to the screen saver but then a while later suddenly the message pops up on the monitor '1. Analog: Cannot Display This Video Mode'. I tried turning the monitor on and off and doing whatever I can but I ultimately had to restart the computer by holding down the power button. Now its working again but I have a bad feeling this will happen again. Is there any solution?

This just happened again. It seems to occur around when the computer is going into sleep mode, but only sometimes. Can anyone help????
