The most general reason why your PDF file won’t open is if it has downloading errors. However, there can be other factors. Find it out below.
-No PDF reader on the device -Password-protected file -Virus or Malicious data in PDF file -File Incompatible with the PDF reader program -Older version of Adobe reader -Large PDF file size
I suspect you have no default PDF reader set up in Windows. Adobe Acrobat Reader is probably the PDF reader of choice, but any major browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Edge) will work, and in fact Windows 11's default PDF reader (if you install from scratch) is Edge. To set up a default PDF reader app, visit Settings > Apps > Default apps, and in the box under "Set a default for a file type or link type" search for ".pdf". If there is no app selected, that's probably why you're having trouble. If you do install Acrobat Reader (you probably want to de-select the "optional offers" before downloading) it will prompt you to make it the default the first time you use it.

What is your exact model number and are you using Adobe Acrobat to open PDF files? Second question, is it any PDF file or a specific file?

Here are the reasons you have to fix..
1. Your pc does not have a good PDF reader software. You can try this awesome tool called advanced pdf manager.
2. PDF reader program is outdated and you have to update it fast.
3. Your PDF software is needs to be rebooted.

1️⃣ Check if you have a PDF reader installed
Common options are Adobe Acrobat Reader, Foxit Reader, or even your web browser.
If you don’t have any PDF software:
Download Adobe Acrobat Reader free from https://get.adobe.com/reader/
Install it and try opening the PDF again.
2️⃣ Try opening it in your browser
Right-click the PDF → Select Open with → Choose Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox.
If it opens in the browser, the issue may be with your PDF reader software.
3️⃣ Update or repair Adobe Acrobat Reader
Open Adobe Acrobat Reader → Go to Help → Check for Updates.
If it still doesn’t work, go to Help → Repair Installation.
4️⃣ Check if the file is damaged
Try opening a different PDF file.
If other PDFs work but this one doesn’t, the file may be corrupted — ask the sender to send it again.
