cannot search for windows updates error code 80080005

Have not been able to do windows updates since 2/13 when I last installed the updates from 2/12. Vista update kb 938371 failed on 2/12. Dell support tells me that it is a Microsoft problem and it will be resolved with one of their next updates. I suspect that there have been updates since 2/13 and I have not been able to check for them. Anyone else have this problem or offer any advice or solution or believe what Dell support is saying?
