Thanks for your answer Chris, I tried with Incredimail and Outlook express6,I almost downloaded Eudora light that I did not use for years but I am affraid it will do the same plus their ads are annoying. I have read in a forum that we can try port 26 instead of 25 so I will if changing the port# is effective.
1. Check your outgoing server setting on the Windows 98 machine that you mentioned and confirm that it is the same as the new machine in Outlook.
2. After confirming the outgoing mail server look at the bottom of the server tab and check "my outgoing mail requires authentication" and try to send.
3. If that does not work go back into you acccount settings under the servers section and click the settings button next to the "my outgoing mail requires authentication" selection. Then select "logon" using and put the passwords for the email address that you got with your ISP. If the email address is provided by your ISP then use the username and password for that email address.
