when i reboot the computer with the win xp disk in the cd-rom
i start to install the xp but after the agreement i get msg that cant install
becouse cant find and cd rom
i thought about format the computer from dos mode and then
try to install again - but if it wont work i have very big problem

What interface is the hard drive using?  You may need to install the driver first.

Yes, but what interface is your hard drive using, EIDE/PATA, SATA, SCSI?  You may need to install a driver during the initializing stage so setup can see the hard drive.  Keep an eye on the text on the white section at the bottom of the screen after it starts booting from CD and you should see a prompt to ask you to press [F6] so you can install additional hardware drivers required for the setup process.
 
If you don't know which interface your hard drive is using, you should check the hardware specifications of the Dell model you are using.
