Can't perform factory re-install

Question

.I own a Dell 1749 laptop. I got this computer back in April of this year. When I purchased this computer I was asked to make a system image of my hard drive. I didn't have any dvd's at the time,  so I didn't do it, I figured if something goes wrong I have the Windows 7 dvd to get my factory image back. WRONG! My computer started freezing up on me so I figured I would reinstall Windows and create a backup image. I reinstalled Windows from the dvd and it is a completely bare-bones stock install! It's not the the factory image. To make matters worse, I formatted drive C  and done a complete install from that. It seems you have to use data safe local backup. I don't have that program anymore since I reformatted the partition Windows was on. I can see the recovery partition in explorer so I know it is still there, intact. I can't access it because I no longer have the datasafe local backup program. How can I get this program back? All I wan't to do is reinstall Windows from the recovery partition. I used the driver and utilities disk,  and my dell downloads, but much of the software that was shipped much  with my pc I can't find to download anywhere. Does anyone know how I can perform a factory reinstall now? Can I get data safe local backup back? I have never been through this much hassle simply trying to do a reinstall!  Thanks for your help.
