Can't see my desktop background...Please help

Hello,

I can only see my desktop background picture when I shut down/start up my computer.   On the active desktop, my icons for selecting different background pictures are inactive(shaded gray).  The only thing I can do is change the desktop colors.  The 2nd user accounts desktop background is just fine.   How can I fix this?  Any suggestions?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Carmen26 :smileyhappy:

Right click Desktop/Properties/Desktop/Customise Desktop/Web
Uncheck anything in the white box entitled "Web Pages"
Also uncheck "Lock Desktop Items".
Click OK
"Apply".

If that does not help I think you might have some malware.
Download, update and run

If still not fixed go to the HijackThis forum.  Read the instructions on how to run the program and post a log
