Can't seem to uninstall Google Toolbar

I recently downloaded the Google Desktop program and uninstalled it since it made my computer slow but now the Google toolbar still appears in Ccleaner even after i have deleted the Google desktop. however i can't seem to find the toolbar on either Firefox or Internet explorer 7 and its not in the add or remove programs. how can i uninstall it?

Assuming you're running Win XP, see if you can do the following:

Open IE, click on Tools, Manage Add-Ons
It will search for the add-ons currently loaded.
Scroll down to locate, and click on, Google [Toolbar]
click on Disable, and then OK.

(you might have to also DISABLE the Google Toolbar Helper )

Go in to your Control Panel.
Open Add Or Remove Programs.
In there, scroll down until you find Google Tool bar.
And from there, you can remove it.

Just to clarify...

Are you saying that the Google Toolbar is still appearing/active in your browser ?

Or is your problem that a    reference   to the Google Toolbar still appears in CCleaner??

The approaches offered so far in this thread have been to disable/remove the toolbar from your browser .   If that's been done [perhaps by your removal of the Google Desktop], then the matter of it still appearing (only??) in CCleaner is a separate issue.

its more of a reference in Ccleaner. the reason why i thought it was strange was because usually Ccleaner takes away the name of a program i uninstalled. also, when i go into Google.com it tells me that this site might be dangerous. is this a new feature within the site or something only from Google desktop because i remember reading something like it will alert me when a website that appears in my search seems dangerous they will tell me.

1) I have little (if any) experience with CCleaner, so I can't offer any help/comments there.

2a) I seriously doubt that Google itself, nor Google Desktop, would try to warn you that Google.com is a dangerous site.

2b) More likely, a "dangerous site" warning would be coming from something such as:
McAfee SiteAdvisor, Firetrust SiteHound, eBay AccountGuard, or SpoofStick;
although I can't assert, with any degree of certainty, that any of these particular programs target google.com.
