Cant set screen resolution and display quality
After allowing PC to carry out lastest XP automatic upgrade I now cannot set my screen resolution or colour quality, now set ay 640x480 and 4 bit colour. Upgrade had set my monitor to 'plug and play', even after installing correct E172FP driver still no joy. Help would be appreciated as PC required urgently.

There is one known video issue (at least one that I know about) with the latest Windows XP updates. It pertains to NVIDIA video cards and if the drivers have not been updated there can be problems. If you have an NVIDIA video card, download the latest updates and see if that corrects it.
If not an NVIDIA, reinstall the video drivers for your card and see if that helps.
