cant use sytem restore

Question

I got adware on my pc and cant get it off using adaware se so I tried to use system restore.I tried several times with different dates and itll run thru doin it.Then when my pc comes back on it always says cannot restore it.What can I do?

Using system restore for such a reason is unlikely to be successful even if the system restore did work as your system restore folder is likely to be also infected with the spyware.

Do you know the name of the offending spyware?
Seeing that you have used Ad-aware, I suggest you also try Spybot and CWShredder.

I tried spybot 2 several times.Everytime I go on internet explorer it redirects me and puts more adware on.I even went into safe mode and run adaware and spybot and its still screwing me.I dont know what else to do.

btw are you using any form of antivirus product with up to date antivirus definitions seeing that that protection from this was available in March 2004?
