CD (E:)->'index', (to choose which file)?

Having several CD's, bckup'd up with hundreds of files ... how do you find 'one' - [without swaping the disks in-out?]

Windows cannot find a file is not on any device connected directly the computer. If you want to take the time you can create a file with detailed information of the files you have inserted on the CD/DVD.

Folders are the best option, keep your files organized so you can find them.

Without a prewritten or documented index this is an impossible task.
