It comes up when Windows is loading..."Windows cannot find "F:\DCSETUP.EXE"
I click OK and then the following message comes up..."Could not load or run "F:\CDSETUP.EXE" specified in the registry. MAke sure the file exists on your computer or remove the reference to it in the registry"
CDSETUP.exe is a program that is sometimes used to install hardware, software, drivers, etc. from a CD-ROM. Did the problem just start? Just a guess, but have you recently installed any hardware or software? If this is a recent problem, you could do a system restore to a point before the problem started. Also, doing a Google search found a couple of sites where this program could be downloaded.
check in the startup list in msconfig, to see if it is set to load at startup. If so either uncheck it there and reboot or delete the corresponding entry in the registry at the location given in msconfig
click start, run, type msconfig, click OK, look in the startup tab.
to edit the registry, click start, run, type regedit, click OK. Navigate to the required key by clicking on the + signs in the left pane. Delete the relevant value in the right pane by right clicking on it, click delete.
If you do a system restore, to a time before this occurrred, it would also remove any programs you installed subsequently.
