Certain webpages will not load

Certain pages I try to look at will not load. Some always work, like my email, but others, such as usatoday.com, or even dell.com will not load. I just get a blank screen. I've run AdAware and Norton, and reset IE, but still have the problem. Dell had me run some diagnostics, and seemed to think it was a software isssue, but to get help with software, I'd have to pay $79, which as I college student, I can't really afford until it's a last resort. Thanks for any help or suggestions you all may have!

hmm make sure u have flash from adobe.com and java from java.com if u recently reinstalled xp from cd.
if its been running for a while its probably spyware or some protection software like firewall or phishing filter.(internet exploret 6 or 7 ? if 7 try add remove programs windows ie7 to rol lback to 6.)  or even spyware run spybot.com and Dial A Fix from http://wiki.djlizard.net/Dial-a-fix

also AVG Antispy  from  free.grisoft.com
