Changing administrator name

Question

Hi. I bought a great Dell setup from a friend who upgraded to a laptop a while back. Some of the files in Explore have the friend's name and the system tells me I cannot change it. I was able to change the startup greeting. Can anyone help with this-where are the Administrator tools for this option? Thanks and happy holidays!

You cannot change the name of any User or Admin accounts, all you can do is create a new User account with admin priveledges, and then delete the old one.   Or reinstall Windows and start fresh. :smileysad:

Personally, I'd do what mombo has said...   Reinstall Windows and start nice 'n new with a clean installation.
