I don't think your viewer will read them. You can have whoever sent it to you Export the file in .jpeg from their scanning program. A .tif has no compression. You can go to folder options > file types> and make a file association with them , but if the viewer can't display them, that won't work. I have a converting program, but I don't think you would want to purchase one for a few pictures.

Download IrfanView from here. It is a freeware program which is capable of opening and converting a vast number of file formats.
