Checkdisk runs ever time I boot

I have an XPS Gen 3 running XP Home. I recently did a clean install including a HD format and partioned my 160 HD into 3 partitions. Everything was fine until a few days ago when every time I boot Windows wants to do a checkdisk on drive D. I have let it do its thing with no errors but it still does it. Also I did intall Norton System works and then uninstalled it, well all except the virus protection part and I am wondering if this is related.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
