You have 30 days to return to windows 8.1 in Settings, Update, Recovery. Do that if your laptop is not on the approved list HERE. If it is on the dell approved list, go to dell downloads and drivers and scan for needed driver updates for 10. Notebook computers need Dell Drivers for windows 10. If none are available, keep win 8.1.

Do in-place upgrade or clean installation. Don't not re-format hard disk when you install a new windows.

No. Changing Os versions breaks factory recovery. You should have made restore usb hard drive BEFORE updating.
