Did you install the chipset driver after you reinstalled Windows and before you installed the video driver, audio driver, followed by all the other drivers?

sapphireblu4u,

For the Internet games you probably need a Java virtual machine. You can download one here

If I did, how would I know?  I am a novice at installing any of this.  (To follow up on the other reply below, I did install the Java VM)

There should have been a CD with drivers for your PC. Did you install any of them after you reinstalled Windows? I don't know for certain if the chipset driver is on your driver CD, but here's a link to the chipset driver for the 2400. Read the instructions to download and install it.

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&releaseid=R47822&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_CEL_2400&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=3268&devlib=0&typecnt=1&vercnt=1&formatcnt=1&fileid=56457

See if that fixes the problem. You may have to uninstall the video driver and then reinstall them after you install the chipset driver to get it to work properly.

Maybe you need to read Dell's docs on how to reinstall Windows to make sure you got it right. Search the Dell site for the doc that talks about your verison of Windows.
