Combining partitioned hard drives

Hi guys -

I just bought an older refurbished Latitude 6430 with Windows 7 Professional. It has a 128 gig SSD hard drive which is fairly small to begin with and the hard drive is partitioned, with the Dell recovery image on the D: drive taking up much needed space.

My question is: can I move that factory recovery image to a USB flash drive? If yes, Can the D: drive be removed so that all that free space will now be on the C: drive? 

I've included a screenshot in case I didn't explain myself well. Thanks for your time.

ps - there's nothing on the laptop yet - all the used space on the hard drive(s) came that way from Dell.
