Computer booting up slow

I had a virus last week that has now been taken care of. Everything associated with it is gone but the computer is loading windows significantly slower now. Is there anything I should check out?FWIW I have a Dell 4600 2.66 with 512 ram.

Also the taskbar used to be blue but is now gray. I dont know how to change it back.

Thanks

on the task bar problem, right click on the desktop then properties then appearance then color scheme, change to default blue.

Thanks boppo. I tried doing that and nothing works. I can change the title bar colors of the windows that is open but I cant alter the taskbar. No listing for it in advanced either.

I will check out the links 100mph

enjoieclubchamp03,

Download and install CleanUp! which is a easy to use application that removes temporary files created while surfing the web, empties the Recycle Bin, and deletes files from your temporary folders

Download and install the RegSeeker registry cleaner

Restart when finished.
