computer crash

Question

I posted this on the community board, but no one has replied and so here I am.  I clicked on a Majhongg game and my entire computer locked up.  I had to turn it off with the on/off button.  When it restarted...all the XP screens were gone and it had gone back to the old windows.  I have tried resetting everything...nothing works.  I got the icons back to the size they were...but nothing else.  I even tried a restore...did not work.  I uninstalled the game because it locked up a second time.  I reinstalled the windows xp sp2...can anyone help me?  PLEASE

Please advise some details of your system

Computer model, operating system.

What is the exact name of the Mah-Jong game and where did you get it or download it.

Have you done spyware and antii virus scans

Delete your temporary internet files

Download and install Spyware removal software.

Ad-Aware, Spywareblaster, Spybot & CWshredder. All easily and readily found with google.

Run each, update all of them and then run again, removing everything found.

Running Ad-Aware & PCcillo

Temps were dumped

Ran defrag, disk scan and clean up

reset everything and the only thing that changed was the icon sizes on the desktop

tried restore, did not work
