computer locked screen

i have had my dell for a couple of months and when i turn it on a little window comes up and says this computer is locked only  my name or system administrator can unlock please enter password. I can just click ok and still use the computer but it will not let me do things like set scheduled tasks and things like that. I don't remember setting up the administrator password. how do i figure out what password i set up for this?
