I am just curious as to whether or not running Zone Alarm 5 might have something to do with your problems since many persons have had problems since updating to ZoneAlarm 5.When did the problem(s) start? Does this still happen when you disable ZoneAlarm?
When you enter ctrl-alt-dlt. check on your 'application' tab and see if anything still running around even if after you closed everthing.
Don't run too many applications/programs in the background which is usually appear on your bottom right taskbar. They start automatically everytime you start your system. These sometimes will cause your system to slow down after one program being closed. Just run those your really need like Firewall and Antivirus.
No nothing out of ordinary when I hit ctrl + alt + delete. Other than my performance bar meter being way higher than it should. It could possibly be my Zone Alarm. Should I revert to the free zone alarm I was using before? Anyone suggest any other good firewall programs that are free?
I guess ill try and see if it happens without Zone Alarm. It's still odd that it doesnt happen every time.
I do not know if I would advise going to the free version of Zone Alarm. All the version 5's , free and pro have seemed to have negative affects on some computers. Some users have resorted back to Zone Alarm Pro 4.5 version. What you maight want to do is spend some time on the ZoneAlarm forum and read through some of the posts tos see if anyone else is having your same problem with Zone Alarm 5. You can get to the Zone Alarm Forums by opening Zone Alarm and clicking on Help and then just follow the path. I know that when I first went from version 4.5 Pro to 5.1.011 Pro version that I had some problems. I had to turn off the mobile code to use some sites.
Have you cleaned up your temp files in Internet Explorer?
I kept experiancing the hangups today and decided to mess around and close several applications and it appears to be that NAV 02 is whats causing the problems. Should I head over to their forums?
