Computer sloooow!
Hello everyone, I recently had a virus on my computer, after my virus scan picked it up and deleted it my comp. is really slow, It takes a long time to boot up, and once it enters windows it seem to freeze for a few minutes. Also when browsing the web I can type in a web adress in and my comp. just freezes! Thanks for you help! heres a hijack log if it helps!

Since you need these startup items to be running all the time in order for your computer to work properly, make sure there is always a check mark next to all of these startup items.
If you don't see one or two these items in your list of startup items, that's cool. For example, some people may not have a LoadPowerProfile while others may have two. The big thing to remember is that you don't want to uncheck any of these files if you have them.
The rest of the startup items, however, are completely optional. Whether you leave these optional startup items on or turn them off is completely up to you. A good rule of thumb is to disable only those programs that you recognize and don't need to have running all the time. When in doubt, leave it on. Or, better still, check out Paul "PacMan" Collins' huge "Startup Applications" list at http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_pages/startup_full.htm.

You are loading a lot of programs at startup. Presumably it used to load the same number of programs in less time. You could try removing some of the applications from startup to see if it makes any difference.
If you have done all the usual maintenance stuff like defragging drives, removing spyware, and NO other changes have been made, your files could be damaged. If a virus was removed from the pc, some system or application files may have been damaged or removed as part of the virus removal (your anti-virus software log may give some info on that), hindering startup. One solution would be to reinstall your software and os but that is such a pain it is a last resort.
