configure different default browser for different users

On my multiuser system (Dimension 4500, running XP-pro+SP2) I would like to configure a different default browser for different users.

But from what I have seen so far, when I (user A) set IE (or Firefox) to be the default browser for user A, then it also becomes the default for user B (& vice-versa).

How can I separate the default browser usage between users?
(Routine user preferences are no problem: desktop styles/ home page/ etc.)
Perhap a registry tweak?

Although this is not a major issue (more of a puzzle, really) help would be appreciated.

[PS - I also posted this Q on software/other forum, in case it is not really an XP issue]

This is not possible, but you can easliy toggle between the two browsers by downloading the Firefox extension called "IEVIEW".

Actually, Dell Tech support pointed me to a little utility [defaultbrowser.exe] that DOES make it possible. It can be downloaded from:

http://windowsxp.mvps.org/defaultbrowser.htm

I tried it & it works. :)
Although not explicitly stated, you must reboot for the settings to take effect.

following is excerpt from Dell Tech Support message pointing me to the utility:
-------------------------------
Dear froggieG,

Thank you for contacting Dell Technical support.

Utility DefaultBrowser allows you set the default web browser for your
user profile in Windows XP, without affecting the other users. By
default, the user interface in Windows XP does not provide an option for
setting the default browser for each user. One setting affects all the
users. For those who wish to have their favorite web browser as the user
profile default, you may try this utility. The browsers you see in the
Preset Configuration are tested and working flawlessly as user defaults.

Thank you for choosing Dell.
