Corrupt User Profile Windows 7
I have been having problems with my new Dell XPS 8100 and both Catalyst Control Center which will not launch and things like desktops themes and wallpapers and screens savers. Doing a little research I discovered if I create a new user account it seems to solve all the above problems, which I assume means my original user profile has become corrupted. The downside off all this is it looks like I have to start from scratch and reinstall things like bookmarks and address books. I think most of the programs carry over to the new profile just not the data. I was wondering if there is any shortcut in this process or is it basically going to be like starting from scratch. Also once this is done is there an easy way to delete the old corrupt profile. Thanks for any advice.

Thanks for the link. I just went ahead and set up a new user profile. Since I have only had the computer for three days it was easy to enter all my data and setting up the profile seems to have fixed all the problems I was having with setting up themes and with the Catalyst program.
