Crashing after installing updates for Windows
After I had updated Windows with all the high prority updates the brand new XPS 400 system I just got today started acting up.
It would load to the login screen fine in Windows, but it would either freeze right after I type in my password and hit enter, or it would freeze after I got to the desktop, and it wouldnt load the start bar completely.
Or it would load all the way, and freeze while I was doing something else. At first I thought it was just explorer freezing, but it was definitely the entire system.
Does anybody know about the latest windows updates and if any would cause this problem, and know of a fix for it?
Thank you so much for any help

You might want to take a look at this.

If this is the problem and you are reluctant to attempt a registry fix on your own you can go here and download a file which will do the fix for you. It's on line 383 (HP Share-to Web software fix) on the right side. I would create a system restore point before attempting the fix.
