That is a symptom of a virus on the system. Do a full system scan using your antivirus program with updated signatures and see what it turns up. (You may see the same performance, a brief appearance then nothing, when you try to open regedit and/or msconfig.)
Thanks for your reply. I did try regedit earlier and the same thing happened. I'll try a scan with my updated NAV and see what I get. I did run it recently but nothing...
