Cursor jumping around in Internet Explorer

Question

I have been having trouble with my cursor in Internet Explorer 6.0 'having a mind of its own.'  I can be typing along and then all of the sudden my cursor has jumped to another place above where I am working.  I am a very good typer and so I know this can't be something I am doing as it happens quite frequently. I am on an Inspiron 1100 Notebook which was purchased in March.  I have all the current Windows updates and I just updated and ran my virus check and nothing came up.  I believe it only happens in Internet Explorer. This started happening just after I ran my first scan disk and disk fragmentation.  I wondering if I should run it again. Carolyn Caplinger

Are you running a voice recognizing program? I have no personal experience with it but I have read where it could be your problem.

Doublecheck the voice recognition in the Control Panel, to make sure the voice recognition built into Windows is not enabled. And, if you have mic, make sure it's muted.

Otherwise, it could be spyware or virus causing the problem.
