c:\windows\system32\bridge.dll
On start-up this message comes up saying specified module could not be found. Any suggestions and what is this for, and how to repair. Thank you.

You are infected with spyware or have used a spyware removal tool that did not completely remove everything. Go to the following site and follow the directions to download and run the analysis tool called HijackThis. Generate a log file, then open it and copy and paste the text of the log file in a message in the Virus/Spyware Information and Removal forum where one of the HijackThis experts can offer advice on how to fix the problem:

Do not bother with Hijack This. One of the major spyware sites advises against it for this particular case as it can be fixed without using it and the experts will tell you so (see this). The fix for the bridge.dll problem is here..

If you're in a hurry and want instant removal and don't mind doing a manual removal, some requiring the use of regedit, here are the instructions:
http://www.pestpatrol.com/PestInfo/b/bridge.asp
If any of the instructions seem confusing, click on the link instructions.
This might also help:
To unregister a dll, the command (in start> run) would be, for example, regsvr32.exe /u bcmiivbj.dll. Do the same for the rest of the .dll's listed in that box.
Another note:
systemroot+ is C:\windows in a normal installation of your OS

While I saw those links and thought about recommending them, I am always reluctant to send users to a site a that seems to imply that you have to buy a particular product in order to remove the spyware. I am particularly suspicious of the link to http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/thread7370.html which links to Pest Patrol which is the site that basically says that you need Pest Patrol to remove the spyware. So, my question is, is the techtalk forum just an ad for Pest Patrol? Even the Symantec site seems to imply that you need to have their product that detects "expanded threats", which seems to mean Norton Internet Security, rather than just plain old Norton Antivirus, in order to remove the Winfavorites spyware. Thus, I sent the users to the Spyware forums where the experts I trust can offer advise. Although I have always used the Pest Patrol site myself to learn about the different varieties of Spyware, and I do trust the information there, I have never posted a link to that site because of the implication that you need to buy their product.
Let me know what you think.

I got the link to the Symantec site from one of chuket's posts. The individual who made the initial post reported that he was able to correct the problem with that information, so I added it to my favorites.

volcano11,
The reason I recommended the Pest Patrol site is that it is a quick fix and the manual removal didn't look all that difficult. The Symantec fix looked even easier. They both have manual removal and they do plug their products which is understandable. As for Daniweb, it looked like he was being overloaded with requests for bridge.dll fixes, thus sending people to the Pest site first.
