When starting up after desktop appears, I get this pop-up.
 
" Data Execution Prevention Microsoft W...
 
To help protect your computer Windows has closed this program.
 
Name: Windows Explorer
Publisher: Microsoft Corp."
 
I get this msg with anything I try to open or do except I can dialup and
use IE.
 
Anyone know what this is and how I fix whatever it is?
 
It started this after after a clean up.
I ran the clean up because McAfee found something called Generic Pup
and couldn't delete it or quarentine it.
I'm getting really desperate, have bought several software programs
to try to fix this but can't even open them.

Well, if its not one thing its another!
I did the repair install.  Somehow I am now on Networking?
This is some of the Errors I was getting.

On computer start up:
Error #:
1.  gacutil.exe  Entry Point Not Found
GetRequestedRunTimeInfo  could not be loacated on in dynamic link library mscoree.dll

2.  c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v.2.0.50727\mscorwks.dll  could not be loaded

3.  Runtime Error Microsoft.NET
c:\Program Files\McAfee\MBK\McAfeeDataBacup.exe

What is Microsoft.NET and how did I wind up with it?   I'm not on a network.
and when shutting down, I get a popup that says Ending Program  Socket_Windows  ?
Please help or lead me in direction to get help.

 You probably just need to go to windows update and reinstall the .net framework, when you do a repair install it overwrites some of the files that were updated causing version conflicts.

Go here to use Microsoft Windows Update.
