D610 usb echi driver/ usb 2.0 driver

Question

Hi, I have had to reformat my hard drive on my latitude D610 and everything has been done and running great now but I have had the toughest time trying to locate the driver to get the USB 2.0 Port working. I'm now going on Week 4!!! tried the Intel website and others but can't find anything...NEED help!

This problem is normally caused due to not installing chipset driver after reinstalling OS. Required drivers should be on the DELL supplied ResourceCD (Drivers & Utilities) or obtained from DELL driver downloads. Also some experts say order of installing drivers after reformat is important, i.e. (1) System Software, (2) Chipset, (3) Video, (4) Sound, (5) NIC, (6) Modem, + any others.

Thanks, I bought this laptop from someone that has since left the country (International Student) so I don't have the cd....sigh....so I'll keep search for the info here. Thanks
