Dead Hard Drive and No Recovery Disc

Hi everyone,

I'm in a terrible position right now. My Inspiron 3520 laptop hard drive died on me and I never made those recovery disc. So now I don't have a way to install my original OS anymore. Does Dell offer a website to download these disc images?

Thanks.

Neither Dell nor Microsoft provide a download link to a Windows 8.0/8.1 .iso for an OEM install. Review the notes here on procuring installation media:

The product key is embedded within the BIOS and can be retrieved with a utility called RW-Everything. If you plan to recover your product key and install from a Windows 8.1 .iso review the notes here:

The trouble is obtaining the .iso review the notes here:

Thanks for responding to me Natakuc4. I want to take the easy route and request a copy for the recovery disc but the submission form isn't working. It tells me that the this laptop has been register already and i need to change ownership registration? But I'm pretty sure I'm the first person who own it since I bought it from Costco.

If the form doesn't work then you are going to have to call Dell Technical Support.
